Many improvements to the building and surrounding property have been done in recent years. Two of the most significant developments that will raise property values and greatly reduce operating expenses will soon be completed. The first improvement was repaving the front entrance driveway and parking areas with concrete. Concrete is much stronger than the black asphalt that was previously there and will last much longer. The second major improvement to the building is the installation of rooftop photovoltaic (pv) solar panels. The installation is complete and once the approval process is completed by the utility company it will go on line. The cost savings for electrical power is approximately a 30 percent reduction. A huge savings considering the cost of electrical power.
An update worth noting: As of May 20, 2016 the Holiday Manor solar photovoltaic panel system has been approved by the local utility company and is now online. The building is now producing a portion of it's own electrical power. This greatly reduces the amount of power the building requires from the utility company.
